Heres a list of people who made significant contributions to the creation and
growth of the software products industry. We know its not complete and look forward
to adding other names.
Please note that, for now, were focusing on people who contributed to the
development of the industry prior to the advent of personal computers. That means people
who were active in the mainframe and minicomputer software industry prior to 1985. A
portion of this list was first published in Software Magazine, Vol 9., No. 4
(March Extra, 1989).
